Product not Sellable Individually

Simple products which are sold as a variation of a configurable can be visible individually so that customers can view the variation's details on its own page. This guide covers how to make the variations not sellable, while still letting customers view their page.

Simple Products Are Sellable Individually

The global default setting for this can be found in Products > Settings > Configurable Products & Variations as Simple Products Are Sellable Individually.

Individual products have the setting Sellable Individually to let you configure whether they can be sold directly. When set to No, the product can still be purchased as a variation through a configurable product, or as a part of a bundled product.

When set to Yes, the product will display its Add to Cart button on the category and product page.
When set to No, the Add to Cart button will not appear on this product's page or when it's displayed in a category.

Set Sellable Individually to No if your product should only be purchasable as a variation, or part of a bundle.
The product's page will be accessible based on the Visibility, and Add to Card will appear based on Sellable Individually.
