Quote Management Settings
The Quote Management settings determine how Quote Statuses, Quote Expiration & Reminders, and Quote Change Requests are handled.
Settings
Status for New Quote
This is the status that a newly submitted quote will be set to by default.
Hide Prices for New Quote
Setting this to Yes will hide prices on the quote until the quote is placed in its Quote Available Status (specified in the next setting).
Quote Available Status
When Hide Prices for New Quote is set to “Yes”, this setting determines when the prices will be shown to the customer.
Change Quote Status When Customer Edits Quote
When set to Yes, this setting will automatically hide the prices and change the status of the quote whenever it is edited by a customer. This is to ensure the Admin has the opportunity review edits and re-calculate any pricing, shipping or tax changes.
Quote Status On Customer Edit
When Change Quote Status When Customer Edits Quote is set to “Yes”, this setting determines which status the Quote will be changed to.
Enable Quote Expiration
Quote Expiration allows quotes to automatically expire after a certain period of time (specified below). Expired quotes can be re-activated by Admin users only. If set to No, the Quote can still individually be set to expire if needed.
Default Quote Expiration Time
Set in Days, this is the amount of time after a quote is created that it will switch to the “Expired” status. Quotes are set to Expired automatically once a day.
Enable Quote Reminder
The Quote Reminder automatically sends an email reminding the customer of their quote after a certain period of time. If set to No, the Quote can still individually be set to send a reminder email.
Default Quote Reminder Time
Set in Days, this is the amount of time after a quote is created that it will send a reminder email to the customer.
