Shipping your Orders

Shipments Overview

Shipments are created when an Order is shipped. The Shipment will contain details such as:

  • Shipped Item Quantities
  • Tracking Numbers
  • Shipment Comments
  • Shipping Amount
  • Shipment File Attachments

There are multiple ways to create a Shipment.

Shipping an Order

As long as there are items which haven't yet been shipped in the Order, you can click Ship to begin creating a new Shipment. The quantity of each item that can be shipped will depend on how many were ordered, and how many have not yet been shipped.

When shipping the Order, set the Qty to Ship for each item to match the quantity being fulfilled.

Shipment Comments

  • Add Comments to include comments on the New Shipment email sent to your customer.
These comments can be displayed on the Shipment PDF emailed to your customer. Go to Orders > PDF Settings > Shipment to configure the Pick List PDF.

Tracking Number

👍

Your customers will be able to click the Tracking Number to be brought to the Carrier's tracking portal to get updates if there is a Link set on the Shipment Tracking Carrier in Orders > Settings > Shipment Tracking.

  • Add Tracking Numbers to the Shipment by selecting the Carrier from the list, and enter the Title of the method by which the carrier is sending the package.

Shipment Attachment

  • Upload Shipment Attachments to include files in the New Shipment email sent to customers.

    📘

You can add more Shipment Attachments after creating the Shipment. Subsequent attachments will use the Shipment Update email template to notify customers.

Shipments Grid

The Orders > Shipments grid displays all Shipments. You can filter this list and customize the columns displayed to see relevant data.

You can create multiple different tabs with set filters to separate types of Shipments into categories by clicking the 3-dots to Add New Tab or Manage Tabs. Click here to see how.

Shipments can be selected by checking the box to the left of each record. Then open Bulk Actions to find options for Archiving, Printing, and Exporting.

Archiving a Shipment

Archiving a Shipment will move it to the Archived tab. The Shipment tracking will still be visible to customers on their Order. Archiving just moves the Shipment out of your main tab.

Print

Packing Slips can be printed for each Shipment. You may decide to include that document in the shipment sent to the customer.

The Packing Slip PDF can be configured in Orders > PDF Settings > Shipment Settings.

Before an Order is Shipped, you can print Pick Lists for warehouse teams to use for picking and packing the shipment.

Exporting Shipments from the Grid

To export Shipments from the Grid, select each Shipment by checking the box on the left. Then open Bulk Actions to click one of the Export options.
