Options are also where you can manage Swatches!
Options must exist on the Attribute before CSV Import
If you are going to set attribute option values on products via CSV import, the Options values must first be added to the Attribute in the Admin.
You can change the order of your attribute options, which will also determine the order of the variables in the dropdown menu on product pages.
Go to Products > Attributes and open the attribute you want to edit, for example "Color".
To the left of each attribute option you will see numbers, which is the Position corresponding to the position of swatches or the dropdown menu on product pages for configurable products.
Click on the number next to the option name to open this window:
Change the number according to the position you want to give it in the dropdown menu or swatches.
Click Update Position and save the changes.
To sort your attribute options alphabetically without the need to enter a sort order number, you can click on the gear icon next to each option. From the drop down menu select Sort ALL Alphabetically:
You can also move the option to the bottom or the top of the list.
