Using Multiple Discount Rules to create Tiered Discounts

Zoey Customers often ask how to create a discount where the quantity or amount is tiered so that each range will have a different discount amount.

The solution for this, and for other complicated discounts, is to combine multiple Discount Rules. The conditions of each would be mutually exclusive so that they do not combine their effect.

Example of Discount Rules being used in Combination

• Tier 1 Discount Rule for 2 through 9 items in cart

You can duplicate the Discount Rules to easily create similar discounts

Edit the new rule to provide a discount to the next tier.

• Tier 2 Discount Rule for 10 through 24 items in cart

The above can be repeated for each Cart Quantity Tier. You can use the same idea to create more complicated discounts that have exclusive conditions.
