Quote Change Request, when enabled in Quote Settings, will automatically change the status of a quote if edited by the customer. This includes edits to items, addresses, or shipping methods.
The following settings exist for Change Requests:
Change Quote Status When Customer Edits Quote
When set to Yes, this setting will automatically hide the prices and change the status of the quote whenever it is edited by a customer. This is to ensure the Admin has the opportunity to review edits and re-calculate any pricing, shipping or tax changes.
Quote Status On Customer Edit
When Change Quote Status When Customer Edits Quote is set to “Yes”, this setting determines which status the Quote will be changed to.
While all statuses are open-ended and can be assigned at any time, this is a typical workflow for the Open, Change Request status.
