Product Access Restrictions
Allow individual products to be restricted to specific accounts, locations, customers or customer groups, or to follow different access rules such as hiding price, hiding add to cart, etc...

Restrict which Customers can view certain Products
Product Restrictions can be set on each product to prevent them from being seen by customers that will not be allowed to purchase said product.

Restrictions can be set up via CSV import or through Bulk Actions
Restricting Products using Bulk Actions
- To modify Product Restrictions in bulk, first navigate to your Product List.
- Check off the products that you will be changing restrictions for.
- In the Bulk Actions menu, click Edit Products.
- In the this window you can specify the settings to change for selected products.
- You can set Is Restricted and Restrict Product to specified customer groups to restrict the products.

- Navigate to your Product List and click on the Product.
- Find the Restrictions section.
- Set your restrictions for the product there.
Sync Restrictions with Variations
Click on Sync With Children to apply the configurable product's restrictions to each of its variations.

zb2b_restricted_prod_groups must list the Customer Groups you are restricting the product to.

Individual Product Restriction Settings

Restrict Product to specified Account Locations — This field allows you to specify Account Locations that can view this product.

Restrict Product to specified Accounts — This field allows you to limit which Accounts can view this product.

Restrict Product to specified Customers — This field allows you to specify exactly which Customers can view this product.

Restrict Product to Specified Customer Groups — This field allows you to limit which Customer Groups can view this product. Typically the best way to organize restrictions is by Customer Groups.

Override Global Product Access Restriction Settings — This setting will allow the product restrictions set for a specific product to override the Global Product Access Restrictions. You can read more about the Global Catalog Access Settings here.

Variation Restrictions
After setting Is Restricted to Yes on a configurable product, set Restrict Variations by Customer Group to Yes to apply the parent's Customer Group restrictions to each variation. This overwrites each variation's allowed Customer Groups. It does not apply the parent's Account, Customer, or Account Location restrictions.
Each variation can have different restrictions!To restrict the entire configurable product, configure the parent's Restrictions settings. To give variations different restrictions, configure each variation's Restrictions settings individually instead of applying the parent's restrictions.
Sync Restrictions with Variations
Click on Sync With Children to apply the configurable product's restrictions to each of its variations.
FAQ
Can I show pricing for only certain products when guest pricing is hidden globally?
Yes, there are two options. Product Restrictions cannot override hidden pricing set under Web Settings > Customer Settings > Customer Access Restriction, so choose one of the following:
- Keep your global restriction: Display a product attribute such as "MSRP" or another custom pricing attribute on product and category pages for the NOT LOGGED IN Customer Group. This shows selected pricing information without changing your global restriction.
- Use Product Restrictions: Set Customer Access Restriction to Allow Browsing, Restrict Add to Cart. Then use Product Restrictions to hide prices on selected products by excluding NOT LOGGED IN from their allowed Customer Groups. Keep those products visible with a custom message instead of a price.
The second option may require changes across your catalog. Review existing product restrictions for conflicts and consider the impact on your storefront before changing the global setting.
