Manually Creating a Customer

Customers can be created manually in your Zoey admin. While you can create a customer in Orders > Create New Order, and Quotes > Create New Quote, this tutorial will focus on creating the customer from Customers > Create New Customer

Creating a new customer

Select Customers > Create New Customer

Account Information

Customer Group *

REQUIRED - Select a customer group for this customer.

Prefix

i.e. Mr, Mrs, Dr, etc...

First Name *

REQUIRED - First name of the customer

Middle Name/Initial

Middle Name of the customer

Last Name *

REQUIRED - Last Name of the customer

Suffix

i.e. Sr, Jr, Esq, etc...

Email *

REQUIRED - Customer's Email Address

Additional Email Addresses for Order Notification

Comma Separated email addresses used that will be sent order notification emails.
ex. ([email protected], [email protected])

Tax/VAT Number

Tax ID for this customer

Tax Class

If set, this will overwrite the Customer Group tax class

Send Welcome Email

If enabled, the customer will receive the Welcome email from your store with instructions to log-in.

Send From (Language)

Choose a language from your store (if you have multi-language enabled.

Account Management

Disable Log-In

When set to Yes, the customer will be unable to Log-In.

Can Create Addresses

This setting gives the user permission to create new addresses.

Can Edit Addresses

This setting gives the user permission to edit existing addresses.

Can Delete Addresses

This setting gives the user permission to delete existing addresses.

Limit Quote By Specific Product Attribute

Using this setting you can limit the customer from submitting quote requests based on the values of a specified product attribute. For instance if you set this to the attribute "Brand", this will block the customer from submitting quote requests if they have items with different brand values. All brand values will have to be the same.

Limit Order By Specific Product Attribute

Using this setting you can limit the customer from submitting Orders based on the values of a specified product attribute. For instance if you set this to the attribute "Brand", this will block the customer from submitting an Order if the cart has items with different brand values. All brand values will have to be the same.

Sales Representative

Select one or many Sales Representatives for this customer. If set, this Sales Representative will be automatically assigned to orders and quotes for this customer.

Custom Attributes

Enter values required for any Custom Attributes you created for your customers.

Password Management

In the Password Management section, enter a password for your customer. If you prefer to send an auto generated password, select the checkbox.
